Default USA Holidays ?

posted about this before but couldn't find the thread.

Want to book for two weeks between July to August, fancy doing a week in NY and a week in Orlando, Virgin just quoted £8400 for the five of us for that which is a **** load of money for a holiday, plus we had to fly from Heathrow, not Manchester, so probably another few hundred to get down there, plus spends, tickets, car, whatever, bet it will be 11 grand by the time we are done.

So, any suggestions, I know someone on here had a villa, any ideas for getting decent flight prices, preferably flying into New York and then back from Orlando or Miami.

Thats a very expensive do I must say. Thank goodness I was paid to go to those places on duty. You won't want to join the Air Farce to get free tickets but we did get enough time off to enjoy it.

Can't help on cheap accommodation J4CKO, but if you do get out there, I know you will really enjoy it anyway. You are spoilt for choice finding things to do in the Orlando area.

I don`t think theres any way of doing it cheap. Flights have doubled over the last few years. Five of us went just to Disney in 1996 and it cost 3500 quid then. And thats before you pay for parks. food, beer etc.

Flights to Orlando are pricey at peak times full stop.
We have already booked and for the four of us in August it was around £3800 but we used Virgin air miles from last year to bring the cost down. Extra eg room on way out and premium ecomony on return.
