Have a cousin who works in the travel industry all over Europe. She told me this week there have been problems in certain countries(especially Spain & Greece) where people have tried to hire cars but only have an old UK licence and not the new Euro plastic indentity one. Some hire comanies apparently will not accept the old licence.

Might be wise for anyone planning to drive over there to change licenses before they travel just to eliminate the rfisk of having any problems.
