Where to eat out in Chester?
Off for a weekend soon with friends. We would like to eat out Friday night, NOT nouvelle cuisine, and somerwhere that's likely to have veggie dishes on for them.
Any recommendations?

Last april-ish time i was in Chester for a few days-and had a bloody gorgeous meal at Hickory's-so i can confirm if you adore meat dishes and chips go there-but if you are a veggie-not so sure

Joseph Benjamin - cafe during the day, restaurant at night, Very good quality, authentic food, with veggie options.
Booking is essential as it is small.

I was told that there are 365 pubs in Chester, so you can't be short of a choice.

Try the Chester Grosvenor, it has a Michelin star restaurant inside. It has the funniest waiter service I have ever experienced a Michelin restaurant

Me and the Mrs eat anything, but our least fave is Indian.
We, (I), also HATE "pictures on a plate" where someone has had his/her fingers in my food trying to make a tiny portion look nice
I'm REALLY fancying Hickorys, but they might not approve
