Noticed that during "The News", the lass stood behind Hammond had a see through top on showing her bra.

The production team obviously stopped filming to point out that the nation of men watching Top Gear would be staring at her T!ts, as a few shots later, said woman had a cardigan on covering up said T!ts.

Come on, I can't be the only pervert to have noticed?

Some ethnic bird totally did not laugh when Hammond (or was in Jezza) made some breast joke.

When was Amy Williams on? Is it worth a look at on iPlayer?

I was watching it on Sky+ when we had a power dip so I missed the section between Alice Cooper and the re-worked E-Type.

She looks like a man there. Shows what BBC make-up can do.

Speaking of TG women, I'd take Sabine Schmitz any day. She's mad but awesome.

Great piece on the E-Type, it really is still to this day a stunning looking car. Te rep was nice, but wuld take a genuine car over it any day of the week even if the price was the same.

And being brutally pedantic; its actually a copy of E-type Lightweight (albeit a very well sorted one set up for road-going use): And you can get an original lightweight for £200K!...have a look here: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C128913

I guess what makes it so expensive is the alloy bodywork.

Not that's a bad thing - the bumpers and brightwork (chrome) always spoilt the looks of Jaguars. Even the more modern ones.

We've fully restored a few E-types over the years; I have a feeling the Yellow Primrose roadster on teh cliffs could be one of ours (couldn't get the reg number )

So I know one could built for alot less. And it can be made to be just as good. Seeing they've thrown out originality (to a point) on that car, I'd change a few more things for the better; namely the front subframe and suspension in luie of the alloy body.

The whole front of the car is a spaceframe made from box section steel that just bolts onto the bulkhead. And front suspension is done by torsion springs (and still looks like it does on the Eagle). Handling and rigidity would benefit highly if it was replaced with a tubular steel or aluminum frame allowing upright shock/spring towers or pushrod pivots to be installed which turn allows for horizontal coilover suspension.

And the engine. Natually, a Jaguar 4.0 AJ16....about 250bhp as standard and will give a bit more on on independant throttle body injection and tubular manifolds; So no messing about reboring and machining an old XK engine, and a massive saving in weight too (The XK engine almost as heavy as the v12 due to the iron block ). The supercharged version would be an option, but the noise of it wouldn't sound right in a E-type IMO (plus they are more costly to obtain).

I reckon it could be done for around £100K plus doner car. Probably a SII or SIII FHC 2+2, then convert it to a S1 roadster, as they are considered to be uglier due to the extended roofline and thus cheaper to obtain as there are still plenty of sheds about begging for this kind of work.

Like one we've recently just done some work on; A SIII V12 FHC. And its in a sad state; owner has stored it for ten years, and wanted to put it back on the road in oder to sell. He's already had a cheap and nasty and respray done elsewhere (overspray everywhere), and we've found he's never put antifreeze in it....its an alloy engine with steel pipes and copper radiator! so you can guess what mess that has made of the cooling system (corrosion tastic), to top it off the mixture adjusters in the carburettors have seized solid so it's impossible to tune properly.

Its needs a full restoration, but we were told to just fix the leaks and make it run so he can get rid of it; I pity the first person to take that car for a 'spirited drive' as it will probably overheat and the valve seats will drop out the cylinder heads (thats what they tend to do when the cooling system has been neglected).

10th July : Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond find second-hand bargains for the same price as Britain's cheapest new car, the £6,995 Nissan Pixo. James May is in Nevada to test the toughness of the Range Rover Evoque, driving it through Death Valley before chauffeuring a megastar across Las Vegas. Plus, the McLaren MP4-12C is compared with its deadliest supercar rival, the Ferrari 458, and reigning Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car

Looking like a good episode tonight, shame its halfway through the series!
