Our First Baby's Here!!!!!!!!!!
Can't beleve it. Never felt anything like this before! I know everyone said it's a feeling only a parent can get, now I know what everybody means. Even more exciting because we didn't know what sex he/she was
Baby Ethan George was born 23rd June at 12:05pm 6lb 15oz.
Cut it short abit..... Home birth didn't go to plan. Watching the Apprentice Wednesday night, just got to the board room bit and her waters broke sat on one of those nursing *****. Stayed at home until she was 5cm with no pain relief but couldn't stand it any longer so we went to hospital. I was on the Gas & Air at home while she was in the bath really, worked for me
HAVE TO SAY THO. MY MRS IS A PROPER WARRIOR WITH NO PAIN RELIEF ETC. NO WAY I'D DO IT! And prob most blokes I think!
Anyway she got stuck at 9cm for 4-5hrs then the Consultant said we will have to do a Section. They were both ok at this point but he said it's just not happening! Here's where my **** dropped at this point felt useless before he said this but now felt crap and sick . Wasn't!! But felt it.
We've been watching that One Born Every Minute loads but didn't think I'd be one wearing all the Scrub gear. You all Know the rest how it goes.
Oh I cut the Cord thought I'd pass out but I was spot on. Ethan Pissed all over me at the same time but I better get used to that
Mummy and Baby are great. Then after an hour of him being here his Blood Sugar levels were low. They took him away on the Special Care Baby Unit and he's still there now.
HE'S OK THO HIS LEVELS ARE WELL UP NOW AND WE GET TO SEE AND HOLD HIM ALL THE TIME proper little fighter getting better by the hour which is great.
Mrs is ok, just really sore at the moment. Started walking today which is good not sure when there both coming home yet but I'm hoping they will tell us this weekend fingers crossed
I'll post a picture up of him soon and let you know what's going on.
S***! I'M A DAD

Congrats to you both mate , I know what u mean about the feeling I always sat in the pub with me mates when they droned on about kids and I didn't know what the fuss was then I had my own anpd I knew
After 3 my advise is as follows
Pampers nappies all others leak and are **** after 3 kids believe me I know
Cow and gate powdered milk all rest taste like turps I can even drink cow n gate that once she's off the bitty
Green **** it's normal at the start hehe
Blood in the poo is also normal at very young so don't panic as some do, monitor him and it'll clear up in a day or 2
Enjoy

Congratulations!!
It's true, you just don't 'get' children and parenthood until yoor child is born.
Pretty much anything is normal, the best theng you can do is just take it all in your stride.
Don't be tempted into the 'must have' shiny baby stuff, it draws you in and gives you a false sense of security!!!!
You tell yourself you will try anything to get some sleep, and usually when you have had some sleep, and feel a bit more sane, you will be wondering at what point mothercare set up shop in your livingroom!

Are you serious??
How can a baby be born in future????
Mind you, I have I have been very busy. Perhaps, I have lost the track of the time. I dunno.
However, millions of congratulations to you, to your wife, and to the baby himself.

Thanks to everyone who's replied and wished Congrats etc. Me, Mrs Razor & Little Ethan really appreciate it
Quick up date!
Seen them both today. Ange is alot better today still nowhere near right but the pains aren't as bad today. Doctors still reckon atleast 6wks till she's fully recovered!
Ethan's has a Side Step today, what the nurse calls it. Not a back step! His Glucose Levels are up but he's got a small infection. (Ange had it during labour so she's prob passed it on to him. All the drugs they gave her). He wasn't keeping his food down today so they have kept him on iv for most of the night. HE'S STILL OK
Rang up around 12:30am tonight and his nurse said he's kept his food down for 3hrs now and his iv drip has been dropped abit. Done x rays on his stomach and there all clear. Which is great
He had hiccups today, so funny!!!! these are the things were missing so I'm glad we seen it
Back in work Monday, want to save my holidays so I can be with them at home. Doctors etc aren't sure when they are both coming home but like you lot/family and friends have said... They're both in the best place. Just strange being in the house on my own. Gonna be worth it tho
Thanks again for everybody's support/help/tips etc. Means alot
I'll be in touch soon Nick, cheers buddy our dyson and duster are ready when you are mate
