Love the comment 'Twitter is an insignificance awareness engine'.

I just don't get this idea that people must let everyone,even complete stangers, know what they are doing 24/7.

People just seem to be incapable of enjoying their own lives for themselves & have to have every little thing they do validated by their 'control group'.

I notice it at footbal matches.You have travelled halfway across the country & spent loads of dosh to go & watch your team in a very important cup game/play off & you can't actually allow youself to enjoy the game for even just 45 minutes,you have to text,tweet,email or phone during the game.

Before mobile communication devices were common place I don't remember people running down the road from phone box to phone box frantically calling people to tell them what they were doing every 5 minutes.


I therefore conclude that it is mostly complete bol*ocks & media generated mass hysteria that you don't exist unless you are on-line.

Its great for getting up to the minute news about things.

I remember that daft Gaza bloke in his dressing gown up in Morpeth, the news broke about him acting like a numpty with his fishing rod LONG before it was on the news, and within around 5 mins, the daft pictures of him that flooded the internet were created and shown (you know the same ones that some people posted on here around 2 weeks later after they were funny)

I can imagine the likes of Twitter have made creating a "Heat" type magazine really easy nowadays
