Called into Lidl after getting the car washed (weird me not cleaning it )and picked up some Perlenbacher.

I know its early but i thought i would give 1 bottle a cheeky test

This stuff is pretty nice!!

 

Ingredients : water, barley malt, hops extract. << is that it ?

 

...antifreeze, Japanese seawater.....

 

Not tried Lidl lager, however they are great for ale, got a load of Shepard Neame (Spitfire, Bishops Finger, etc.) and Hobgoblin in there the other week as well as a 12 bottle case of Classic English Ales. The case was £15 and the bottles were three for £4. Much cheaper than any regular supermarket, Majestic Wine, Bargain Booze, etc.

 

Lidl's are good for bargains, but you have to snap them up-they are rarely repeated.

There are some snobs missing out on top quality stuff at ridiculously low prices .. more fool them

 

got an aly cycle track pump for 4.99 the other day. can't argue with that !

 

I drank the 6 pack of perlenbacher on night and it gave me a sore head the next day but not a nasty hangover that you get with beer / lager that is full of chemicals. good stuff
