Serialised Book Characters - who's the best?
Being an avid reader and audio book listener, my favourite characters tend to span many books allowing the character to develop.
Here are some of my favs in no particular order, what about you lot, who should I pick up next....
1. Dirk Pitt - Clive Cussler's Indiana Jones type adventurer
2. Myron Bolitar - Harlan Coben's ex-basketball player turned PI (although his mate Win is my fav)
3. Harry Dresden - Jim Butcher's Chicago Magician PI (Fantastic series of books, TV prog was crap though)
4. Mitch Rapp - Vince Flynn's American counter Terrorism assassin (still reading, 2 books to go)
5. Jack Reacher - Lee Child's no bull ex Army MP turned Samaritan
6. Odd Thomas - Dean Koontz's strange Samaritan
I think it's fair to say Harry dresden would kick all their asses, but Reacher v Flynn would be one to watch

It'll only be a trilogy with the second book due out next month but take a look at Paul Hoffman's, Left Hand of God - Thomas Cale. I really enjoyed this one and will be getting the next two in due course.
There is of course also Andy McNab books with Nick Stone, there are more than one main character in his fiction books but there are a few with NS.

Tiller Galloway was DC Poyer's version of Dirk pitt...............Hatteras Blue was the first of the books if memory serves
He then went on to write a good series with the Dan Lenson Character........ The Circle, The Gulf, The Med
Then there's the Stephen coonts books from The flight of the intruder onwards

Stephen Leather's new character is called Jack Nightingale
From the blurb, it looks like these may be a new line he's taking,

If you like Reacher, you'll like Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, very similar character, a bit more violent and unforgiving if possible.
