what do you consider a pointless post

 

sorry to bring some point to this but I do have a practical question: when I voted it states that this is a public poll and people can see your vote, but I can't see anything to indicate what individuals have voted here. Am I missing something?

IMO all posts are pointless except the tiny tiny fraction which impart CORRECT technical information for someone who needs that information.

 

You do have a point. It might be that big> ., though.


A lot of people post here to get rid of their boredom, for a bit of a keyboard ninja-ing, for intellectual or political debate, or just to have a harmless banter with others. Not all of that is pointless IMO, a fraction of that is. I state political and intellectual seperately because not all political tug of war can be classed as intellectual, contrary to usual belief. Anyway, for the ones that like to talk about other than nut/bolts/spanners, there is a point IMO. It certainly is bigger than yours.

Last line above also describes Scoobynet mentality in general.

 

They are all pointless, do you really think anyone, anywhere, at anytime, cares what someone posts here?

Some people think these pages and what is written in them can move mountains, change political opinion, influence the economy, dictate members actions ..... which is plain stupid.

No-one cares, therefore every post - every word - every digit - is pointless.

I know we can all see the overall poll results, it's just from what it said it seemed that people could see what individuals had voted.
