Default Wedding Insurance?

Any recommendations who to use and also who to avoid? Especially if you've ever been unfortunate to have needed to make a claim.. E&L seem to crop up a lot but have read plenty of poor reviews to put us off using them.

Ecclesiastical seem to be one of the original wedding insurers but seems they only cover rental wedding attire under Supplier Failures.

Cheers
Simon

I nearly typed a similar counterinquiry here. Imagine a wedding insurance covering your @rse in a divorce situ? It would be great! But, I would imagine it to be very highly priced, looking at the precarious nature of marriage scenes in general.

I think it's a good idea if you are spending ££££'s.
The bride or groom could get ill and have to cancel the whole thing, the reception venue could go bust, photographs don't turn out so you have to re-do the day...lots of things could go wrong when you think about it.

Cheers Red. We went with John Lewis in the end as covered purchased Bridal & Ceremonial attire whilst most others seem to only include rented.

For those wondering well the main thing it covers for is failure of suppliers to turn up, if the go bust etc but also if for some medical reason (you or close family) you decide not to go ahead with the day.
