Default Help needed to identify a lamp

Following on from the SwissTony's thread about identifying a retro toy, I have my own quest I could do with some help with.

It's a nightlight / lamp from the 70's, made of porcelain / china. It has no identifiable markings on or in it. I don't have it here with me, it's in my parents house.

They cannot recall where they purchased it from, but I'd take a guess it was probably Cheeseman's (Which turned into House of Fraser and then Army & Navy, or the other way round) or Hoopers (or whatever it was called before that) sometime between 1974 and 1980.

I think John Lewis used to sell those. I bought one similar for a friend's kid, probably late 80s early 90s. He loved it!

Would look very good on a hippy's (exotic mushroom-consumer's) coffee table.

Hmm, that is certainly a good possibility, might have to see if that rings any bells

Funny guy It is very 70's, hardly shocking though, as that is the time period when I was given it.

At least I'm not alone in having had one then, and it was for that exact same reason too.

I was just curious about it's origin and to see if it came as part of a collection. As can probably be told, it's been around for a while and when I was young it was a source of comfort to have the light shining through the night. Who knows, perhaps I might want my son to have a nightlight and passing this down might be quite nice. Obviously it's not to everyone's taste, but he might like it.
