The Walking Dead (TV Series)
Friday's on FX at 10PM for anyone interested - I'm watching and quite like it, albeit it's loosely copying a series of previous story lines:
Part 1 - 28 days later - wakes up in hospital
Part 2 - Dawn of the dead - Trapped in a mall
Part 3 - ?

I think it's excellent. It seems to have pretty high production values.
I guess it will be slower than say a movie because it's a tv series and it will take time for the characters to develop, unlike a movie that only lasts a couple of hours.

However, its exactly what I would do if I were in that situation.

Personally, Its a decent watch. I've popped the first few volumes of the graphic novel on my chrimbo list.
Akshully, although its got rabid humans, 28 Days borrows heavily from Day of the triffids.

I like it, personally thought it peaked a bit early. won't mention it for the people that haven't seen ep 3. Reading the wikipedia link, its looks like a lot of good stuff to come.
Good to see a few English actors in it too. Anyone notice the black guy in ep 1 was also in ******?

I like it so far. I think they have borrowed ideas from other zombie films, but unlike a film they are able to explore story lines a bit more (like going back for Merle) and next episode maybe the guns (?).
The black guy was also in Jericho, which was another post apocalyptic series I thought peaked/finished way too early.

It has a very high rating on IMDB. Currently at 9.4
I have to wonder why he used the hacksaw on his hand, and not on the metal bar that the handcuff was attached to. It was only about 1cm thick. It's not as if the zombies could get to him through the chained door.
Perhaps it was done in keeping with the plagerism theme.
So we have 28 days later, Dawn of the dead, and Saw. What other films will be plagerised for the final three episodes I wonder?

Apparently he didn't use the hacksaw, as it hadn't moved from its position. I didn't notice that and assumed he did. Someone at work told me otherwise.
I was more puzzled about how he got off the roof, becuase the door was still chained up.
EDIT: Bloke at work was wrong. Watched the latest episode last night. It was the hacksaw that cut his hand off for sure. All is explained.
