Tron Legacy IMAX 3D Showcase - Uxbridge
Just came home from seeing Saw 3D, was pretty cool, but not the point of this post.
On a chance encounter with the Odeon manager, through a long conversation, i found that they are showing Tron Legacy IMAX 3D Showcase.
It is free and 20 mins of varies parts of the movie, It is stunning.
The giant 3D glasses will cover your entire field of vision, and go over glasses very easily. I was amazed that they have managed to fit an IMAX in at Uxbridge Odeon, and at £2 on top of a regular 3D film, its a small price to pay.
You don't have the distorted field of vision that you may suffer at BFI in London, because there aren't that many seats, the seating isn't as poorly placed.
I know it sounds a cliché, but it is an experience.
Anyway, back to the showcase.
It truly looks epic, and worth of to be the sequel, time will tell in 4 weeks, whether the whole film is any good, but with amazing visuals, light cycles, light cars and light jets this taster has got me salivating for more.
If your around Uxbridge any time soon, ask when the free Tron IMAX show is on, it's defiantly worth 20 mins of your time, and it's free...

Unfortunately not, it hasn't been open for a good while. The annoying part is that once you leave the odyssey cinema, you walk straight past the Imax part which is still all sign posted up.

I saw Imax some years ago at a special show at the Kennedy Space Centre. It was very impressive and it was funny to see people leaning over in their seats until you realised you were doing the same thing!
