Question Where was Rooney?

I, along with many others, thought as long as Rooney was there for us we would win the world cup ...................... he didn't do anything at all .... what went wrong with him? We should have let him have an ugly old prostitute to get him going!

Problem is a player like him needs a team to play with, people who supply the *****, not as soon as they get 40 yards out think "I`m gonna score!!".

The team is crap, individually good, but together absolutely rubbish.

Get the under 21`s as teh England team, and keep them together and playing from now till 2014, atleast that way you`ll get people who WANT to play together, and not think "I`m not getting £60k a week, so I`ll not bother. Its only a World cup!!".

Thumbs up

I reckon Leona Lewis might possbly have had more of an influence .

,at the and end of the day that was 11 premier league players attempting to save a goal .

Cant blame the manager , could pay him less tho

Why is Rooney getting blamed?
What about that ****** Terry and the other 9 plebs that were on the pitch?
You should be thankfull your keeper saved you from a real whipping

Wasn't a bad day for the Germans then with F1 victory too

Don't think anyone is blaming Rooney per se, more commenting that he did not have the best of tournaments. He was billed as our one world class player (maybe he is, maybe he isn't) and as such, he was a disappointment. As were 8 or 9 others.

You cannot blame one player or rely on one player to win the game.they are out there as a team,i don't blame Rooney anymore than the rest of them.they didn't perform as a unit/team and think that's partly the problem, they don't get long enough to train work together,to trust in each other, that pitch is like a battlefield and everyone of them needs to know i can trust and rely on my team mate.Just another 4 yrs then.

Maybe that **** Mike Parry will finally admit that Rooney is not "the best player in the world", infact he might even admit that he is barely in the top 10.

You believed to hype Pete

To be fair to Rooney he hasn't been the same since he did his ankle in March, and wouldn't be suprised if he isn't 100% fit

He looked wacked in every game I saw him in. Unfit and tired. Certainly doesn't look 24, does he?

My mate sent me a text saying:
-Stick some beers in the fridge, I'm gonna drown my sorrows when I get home. P.S. England were ****

I don't know what he was watching, I though Strauss was awesome, and I've never seen Swann bowl so well.

P.s. - Who is this Rooney? Does he bat or bowl?

Not really Rooney fault the medi over rate him and try comparing him to messi and he ain't even as good as tevez. For me cappelo is the problem plays to negative I don't understand how such a talented player like joe cole sits on the bench is beyond me.

England would more more suited playing counter attacking footie as they not great at keeping the ball, a lot of them lack confidence as they never show up to ask for the ball and the media is the biggest problem it puts a lot of pressure on them that's why Italy went out early it's just too much pressure.

The other side had two goals out of us being total ****e in defence !

up front there where 5/6 players on looney and that other weasel with the 15 year olds voice ( both midgets , could we not have had crouch up there ? ) and then we were then suckered into them breaking

Collective non-intelligence really

Im afriad we dont really have world class players , 'sept James

Do people genuinely think James played well?!

OK he had no protection from his defence but I thought he was VERY average!

I thought the most telling comment was Lawrenson's, from the commentary box.
The commentator had just said, that Schweinsteiger had done well with a dribble and pass, and Lawrenson replied, "You mean actually passing to his team-mate's feet?"

Says it all.

to be honest cole didnt do anything when he did play, none of them did. In fact taking milner off just when he was getting into the game to bring cole on just about shown the tactial nouse of capello

The owner of the local Panasonic dealers placed a £37,000 bet that Rooney would score the most goals.

What a f*cking choad!
