Watching the game on German TV - it is half time and the only highlight they are showing and discussing is England's goal that wasn't given.
They are looking very relieved!

Yes we were terrible and yes we could easily have lost 8-1 I agree, but at half time when I posted I was hanging onto the thought that we would carry some momentum and win....

I think you are really retarded - If you look at the stats England in fact had more shots on target and had a legitimate goal disallowed .
BUT England were outplayed in the last half an hour .
I am not defending the England team , but don't let your obvious hatred of England and the English get in the way of facts.

Still watching German TV - it is a hoot.
They have played clips of Shearer and Hansen with a long face from the BBC. They have the Sun website - they are showing loads of English media and the English response. It is at least important for them to beat England as it was for them to win!

no not a stirrer, just a commentator on fact. you englanders were outplayed, outmatched for the vast majority of the game by a much better side than algeria, usa and slovenia. they looked slow, cumbersome, unfit and just plain naive when it came to positional play.
oh and i have no hatred of all things english, even though my sister married one of you scummy chavving dawn sarf shandy drinking southerners.

I can't see Germany getting past Argentina on this display. England's defending was truely, truely shocking for the first two goals and the second two were break aways with England pushing players up the field chasing the game. The German finishing was clinical, but it's difficult to see them getting through even a semi-competent defence.
Completely FC's fault - why he didn't play a fit Ledley King I'll never understand, and Upson should have been substituted after the first goal as it was clear he was going to be a liability. These West Ham players have a lot to answer for!

These players are only put in the "world class" bracket by the English media. You go around Europe and ask football fans for the big names and they will only get to English players after rolling off a list of Spanish, Brazilian, Argentinian....
England also made the mistake of not being brave enough to ditch their "journeymen", Terry, Lampard, Gerrard....guys who are not the players they once were.
Brazil and Argentina were both ruthless and ditched big name players....Zanetti, Cambiaso, Ronaldinho, Adriano.....
