When I did the Toronto air display we were based in Toronto but the aircraft was parked at Trenton at the other end of the lake. They used to take all the display crews up there in a C130 in the morning and bring us back in the evening.
As you can imagine, all the display crews used to take the **** out of the C130 pilot just for the hell of it and he got his own back by doing a RATO take off without telling us! We all ended up on the loading door at the back of the aircraft!
He won that round alright! the acceleration had to be experienced to be believed.
