A few of my alloys have some slight marks on the edge of the rim where they've obviously hit kerbs. Nothing bad enough to make it worth having the wheels refurbished, but its enough to be annoying!
Has anyone had this sort of minor wheel damage repaired by those mobile chip repair outfits, such as Chips Away and others? If so what were the results like, and what sort of price?

Yes, I had a minor scuff repaired by Chipsaway Cambridge. They did a very good job - the paint is a perfect match and the profile of the wheel (where it has been filled) is almost perfect.
Basically you can see it if you know where to look and look really really closely. I don't think anyone else will spot it though!
It was about £70 plus VAT as it does take them a long time to do it. I guess you could buy a replacement wheel for the same price but would it be in such good nick and plus you would need to pay to get the tyre off and back on the new rim....
I was pleased anyway.

Blimey, £70+vat for one wheel is more than I expected! I think I'd rather just get a full refurb done for that money, but I suppose you do need to get both alloys on the same side refurbished at the same time really otherwise one looks shabby against the new one.

That does seem very expensive. My local garage does wheels for £40+VAT each I believe. I've seen the ones he did for his own M3 (before and after). They have done a good job.
