Default Anyone had this on ebay?

Basically I sold my mums old laptop through ebay.

I gave it a full check over before listing and I know full well it was working.

Anyway the buyer after one day said it didn't work properly and wanted a full refund.

I basically asked them to provide details of the fault etc. Anyway to cut a long story short, they opened a case through ebay and I esculated it straight to ebay customer services as I felt I wasn't at fault.

Just got an e-mail from them saying neither of us where found to be at fault so a full refund has been issued to the buyer and the case has been closed.

So I still have the money for the laptop and she still has the laptop and a refund so shes done alright out of it .

Didn't think ebay would be so quick to do this as its only been 24 hours since the case was opened!

Strange

wont ebay chase you for the money????

can see a good scam coming up if its true .....

i had a customer say a laptop wasn't working after buying it..... so i got it home again and it had no such fault..... i reformatted it again, and put all the latest drivers on it, heta tested it over night, run all the software up, no issues...

2 days after giving it to him, he's complaining about a fault after he installs some freebie "software" .... Hmmmm

Yeah I feel this buyer was trying it on. Don't know why though, its a perfectly good laptop and worth the money payed.

No chase for money from ebay Just says case closed and my account functions as normal, very odd!

I sold a Nav screen for an x5 a couple of years ago. Guy received it and emailed me to say it was fitted, working great, and left similar feedback. Also asked if I knew of anyone that could fix his faulty one, which I didn't. It had a cracked screen.

A couple of weeks later I get a PayPal dispute, apparently its faulty. I copied the correspondence to PayPal. This went on for a few weeks.

Finally received an email from PayPal thanking me for agreeing to the refund! FFS, I did nothing of the kind!

Next day his old monitor arrives, complete with crack in screen. I had evidence this wasn't the one I sent, took photos of serial numbers etc, PayPal ignored me... and refunded his money!
