Unhappy Deadliest Catch Fans - Captain Phil Harris RIP

BBC News - Deadliest Catch Captain Phil Harris dies aged 53

I watch the show from time to time, these days it is all repeats!

One of the few good fly-on-the-wall docu-dramas on TV these days

I liked Phil and his two son's, seemed like good people.

RIP Phil

He wasn't a well man during the last series, he had a blood clot on his lung

if i recall, caused by a fall. It was touch and go then if he would be able to

carry on.

He was quite a character to watch

RIP

Mart

I watch it all the time and am sorry to hear of Phils death.
The lifestyle of the captains in particular isn't the best in terms of healthy living.
Sat in the wheel house for hours on end drinking black coffee and chain smoking is not good!
Sig Hansen won't be far behind if he's not careful.

Anyone watch the new show lastnight, this time based on the sword fish fleet?

Nik

Shame, seemed like a really genuine guy. RIP. Wonder who's in the wheel house of the Cornelia Marie now?

RIP Captain.

I watched an episode just the other night and one of Captain Phils sons was saying how concerned he was about his dads health with the amount of coffee, Red Bull and cigarettes he was consuming in a day.

RIP Phil, he didn`t have much luck with his boat having numerous repairs on the engines at around $60,000 - $100,000 a time and then the repairs failing. He was a decent guy, he had a unique way of spotting the crab, looking out for the crabs farting and spotting the bubbles on the surface lol

RIP, I read last week that he was medi-vac'd off the boat to hospital with a heart attack

The show won't be the same without him, my thought are with his family and friends.

A sad loss.

Of all the reality shows on, this is probably the only one I enjoy, with Phil Harris being one of the toughest.

Rest in peace.
