Thumbs up Wallander

I have been watching the second series of this, missed the first. Brliiiant drama and beautifully directed and shot. Set in Sweden with a mostly English cast. Dubbed back into Sweedish for thier domestic market apparently.

Are you sure?

Its a British direct re-make of a current Swedish programme, so Id have thought thatd be like ze Germans making Cracker here in German and then selling it back to us dubbed into English

The original is on BBC4 and its excellent: watchable even though its subtitled.

Not sure, no. The programme has a lot of Swedish crew - not just the tech support but in direction and the producer roles dependant on which episode.

Just got a hold of series 1 so will be watching it this week.

I will give it a whirl on BBC4 as well.

I keep on wondering when Wallander is finally going to crack though!

I can see how the Swedish suicide rate is as high as it is though!
