Angry Damn pilot light won't stay lit!!!

Had the engineer out today as our heating went out yesterday evening, typical that when he was here and he lit it, it stayed on. 20 mins on and the bloody thing will not stay lit.

Been trying to get hold of my letting agents for over an hour now, finally get hold of them and get the fabulous news that the engineer is away on an emergency and he might see us tonight.

Well that's my electric bill about to go way up.

No real point to the thread other than to rant while i sit here with my hat on enjoying some Great Escape action on Anytime.

Be sure to post this in DIY, if you don't want any real help from the SN CORGI massive.

I'd say dodgy thermocouple or similar

It is the Thermocouple - extremely simple job - cost of item about £10 ..... 20 minute replacement time.

My brother in-law said something like that, I'll leave that to the engineer to square away. Suppose that is 1 good thing about renting.

Got a gas fire luckily and also a couple of electric heaters. Still a wee bit nippy.
