Why Oh Why does the nut you throw out...
...always come back to haunt you!
Last week i was cleaning my car and found a nut at the floor of the back seats, thought to myself MEH! got plenty of 'em and binned it! Now at this point i should have known better as it is an Alfa Romeo. So today I got a shiney refurbed part to fit and low and behold it was missing a singular nut, to be exact, the exact same nut i just threw out the week previous! So after a hour of hunting thru all the cups, toolboxes, you name it i still am missing a nut that i had in my hand just the previous week.
A tale of WOE i tell ya, a tale of WOE!
PS. Seat Sharans are the worst driven people carriers on the road by a countrymile. They just **** me off!

it's even worse if you drop a nut in the driveway and then you can't find it or you drop one and it doesn't fall all of the way to the floor and hides soewhere that you can't get at

Ive got a thing about fasteners, having always worked in the business of assembling things, I have amassed a huge collection.
I like stainless fasteners, and I preffer small stuff, 3/4/5/6mm St.St nyloc nuts, bolts, washers, allen bolts, securihead bolts, etc.
When I worked in a design office for the 'RainFord Group' a guy from 'Infast' would come into the office and give me a sample box of fasteners, lots of everything, anything I wanted, he got, it was great.
Im like a magpie if its shiney, I take a sample.
I keep them in quality street tins in my garage, and must have 20 odd tins, in a cabinet.
A little tip.....if you keep fasteners in a tin and they are not stainless, spray WD40 in the tin and give the fasterners a shake, then repeat a couple of times.
Nothing worse than rusty nuts.
I have a thing with cable ties and Jubilee clips too...
