Cappuccino/coffee machine??
I am thinking of getting myself a cappacino maker but there are sooo many different types out there and am not sure which ones are the best!?
I dont really want to spend much more than a few hundred on one and wondered if any of you had any reccomendations.
I would like one where the cappacino actually takes like a cappacino (if you know what I mean) not like these sachet/packet things you get from Tesco!!
Thanks

Havent the company who supply gaggia extras in the uk gone into administration thus making it very hard to get filters and replacement parts etc very difficult?
Might be worth considering when making your choice.

Bought a Magimix M190 at the weekend;
Magimix Nespresso M190 Citiz & Milk in Black 11300, Coffee Makers - Go-Electrical
Bloody brilliant, it's a Nespresso machine so you have to buy the coffee pods online, about 24p per cup, tastes marvellous, and the separate milk heater/frother is great.

I too was going to go for Gaggia, but Gaggia UK have gone into liquidation.
Philips are taking over the warranty side & "realcoffee" have taken over distribution. Garraways still sells as an official UK distributor.
I ended up choosing:
Delonghi Magnifica ESAM4200S
@ just over £200 on Ebay with 1yrs warranty - I'm very happy.

not cheap but makes the best coffee -- full stop
also built to last no fiddly sachets etc etc -- I have had the same one for the last 15 years
plus it looks fantastic -- and a pleasure to use, no crappy electric pumps etc etc

I like my cappucinos and had a couple of expensive machines with a steam frother etc. but they were a bitch to clean (at least mine were), so I got one of those aerolatte things for 14 quid:
Aerolatte Satin Edition: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home
and am quite impressed with the job it does of frothing the milk. So I now grind the beans, make the coffee in a cafetiere then add to the frothy milk. Saved me the expense of a new machine.
