Fellow Scoobynetters, I need your help.

I'm going to Canary Wharf tomorrow on business. I'll be flying from Glasgow to London Heathrow (Scooby will be tucked up in bed). Problem is I don't travel across the border often and would like to know the best way to get from Heathrow airport to Canary Dwarf. I don't want to keep changing transport and would like to get there hassle free.

Call me thick if you want but the thought of wondering around London scares the living daylights out of me.

So any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Gordon

Thumbs up

Easiest way is probably to get the Picadilly line tube to Green park then change to the Jubille line which will take you to Canary Wharf. Probably take you around 1 hr or so.

Picadilly - Jubilee is also cheeper. I believe Heathrow Express is about £15, tube would be under £5 for a travel card.

Need to save the money for Scooby snacks.

Would have been better if you could have flown into London City Airport.

b2z, no I don't drive in, can't filter in the 22 like I can on a bike . Car driving in London is miserable. However the parking underneath seems safe, but £22 a day? Ouch. The £6.50 a day to park in the field just North on the Wharf is ok, and there are plenty of Porches to nick, so should leave our scoobie-doo's alone.

Next time you do the trip consider getting a train to Dundee and a flight from there to City Airport

I'd love to drive into Canary Wharf with mine too but it's the parking. I did once and for 9-1 it cost me £10. I only live 3 stops on DLR anyway and can then sit at work all day not worrying about whther my windows are still in the thing. Traffic kills the Scooby experience too.

Hey Rebecca

Who let you out of the muppet forum? Did you escape? Sure I'll give you the present I was supposed to give you ages ago, but you'll need to come and get it!

I'll be staying in The International Hotel in Canary Wharf so I'll see you there then?

Take care

Gordon

Why not EBRWRX? I didn't pick the hotel myself, my work did. What's wrong with it?

Short of paying for a cab...I'd say get the train Heathrow to London Paddington, hop on the Bakerloo line(tube) to Baker Street, then the Jubilee, which chucks you out at Canary Wharf.
I'll wave from the 41st floor.
Chuck
Edit: Ah yes, the Picadilly route is one less change and is a good one, I was thinking about speed, but time saved probably not that much.
