I have a Braun Series 5 and i actually find it poor, its well stuck together, has a great battery life, self cleans but as the hairs on my neck have a quite irregular in growth pattern, it doesn't seem to work well cutting them at all.

So the problem is actually with you then, and not the shaver!

I did bang out almost £200 on a Braun 7 (use e-bay not Currys or think £270) and it is AMAZING! D

I suffer from razor burn quite a bit as I was using a philips series 6 shaver. I decided enough was enough and I went into John Lewis in MK and got some advice from two very helpful staff who recommended me this Philips HS 8060 cool skin and I really love it. It stops the razor burn, which is a good thing.

There are two versions, one with just the shaver and the Nivea for men shaving conditioner and the other comes with a base station, which is quite cool.

Buy Philips HS 8060 Shaver online at JohnLewis.com

I did not pay this price though, it somehow has gone up in price.

Gillette Fusion Power for under a tenner, battery included.

Yes, I am aware it's a razor, not a shaver

use this one too. Always wet shaved before but this does a pretty good job.

I don't think you will get a certain answer when it comes to shavers, ive had £150.00 to £40.00 ones and for some reason have always gone back to a wet shave.Had philishave the nivea wet/dry was ok but soon as the gel ran out i didn't bother using it again.Got myself another philishave this one cost £60.00 aint too bad just problem with charge don't last long.Don't like the braun had one couple yrs back and it packed up after 3 weeks, that was my second braun.SO i think the philips range are about the best and Argos are doing the philips nivea HS8060 for £95.00 was £143.00 tempted myself but i know as soon as i need to buy refill gel packs i probably wont bother with it..

Remington Titanium jobby - I am a "heavy" shaver in the extreme and this does the job well - I electric shave my chin and face then finish off with a blade though.
