I can tell you now it is already way above that temperature.

Even with the almighty lightning storm we had last night it was still tasty warm, made my run a little bit more interesting though.

UK Outlook for Monday 22 Jun 2009 to Wednesday 1 Jul 2009:
The weather during the last week or so of June is expected to be dominated by high pressure. This will mean plenty of fine, dry and sunny conditions, especially for central and southern areas, but these should affect the rest of the UK to some extent. Winds will be mostly light, leading to cooling sea breezes on many coasts. However, the high pressure is expected to gradually decline away to the northeast near the end of the month, and showers may develop across some southern and southeastern parts of England. Fine and dry conditions with spells of sunshine should continue though across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Temperatures will be generally warm or very warm, especially across inland central and southern Britain at first, then tending towards western Britain later.

Hope you're right. Got that week off work to get the Scoob off the road and deal with rusty wheel arches. Cold or rain will not be good

The Fal estuary.
But might also dash up to the Camel estuary at some stage - got use of a Boston Whaler up there.

Is that gaff yours? Actually a little way from the Fal!

Have to admit I am totally in love with the Fal estuary and surrounds.

We battered it back at high speed from Flushing to home (ahem - nr Truro) the other (Thursday) night to beat the darkness - the sky was great. My camera phone pic wasn't though..

And a few others of the area:

Our mini boat nr Falmouth:

Hot weather! You been snorting things you shouldn't again Pete?

No chance of sunshine, IMO, the Hoppings start on the Town Moor tomorrow.

Thankfully my private yacht provides a lovely breeze, and some Elysium Black Muscat makes life sooo schweet

Just looked at the latest 5 day BBC forecast to check out this imminent heatwave.

Friday (today): max 18°C
Saturday: max 17°C
Sunday: max 18°C
Monday: max 21°C
Tuesday: max 22°C

OK the tendency is upwards, but would you expect anything else as we approach July? The Beeb have been banging on about this heatwave since the middle of the week, coincidentally at the same time as they have been running a few stories about Global Warming with assorted money-grabbing Government ministers in tow. This morning they were worrying about the millions of extra people on the roads heading out to the beach this weekend to sun themselves to death. Hmm at 17 - 18°C? I think those poor souls are in for a bit of a shock!

Let's not forget that the last two summers have been amongst the worst on record. We're always going to get the odd week of 30°C temperatures each year, but it's hardly worth us all changing our entire way of life to deal with that, is it?

Well if this is a heatwave, God help us when they say it's going to be cool! 16°C in Northants yesterday. 19°C today. About 21°C now predicted for rest of week. That's just normal for this time of year.

Where do they get this rubbish from?
