Default Which Phone?

Been offered an upgrade from T-Mobile

Baiscally these were the ones spouted at me over the phone but i wouldn't mind opinions from those that have used them! also if there are better alternatives, feel free to suggest!

LG Renoir

Samsung Picson

Sony Ericsson C902 or W760i

Nokia N95 8gb or E71

i've had Sony for the last few and before that Samsung as i felt they were much more intuitive than the Nokia's i'd been given for work. Any thoughts at all gadget fans?

Ive played with the E71, lovely looking phone and feels very strong but useablity is awful. I like Nokias for the ease of use but the E71 falls flat on its face. Hoping for a Blackberry Bold soon, now thats a nice bit of kit.

Not played with the others, sorry

I hear that the person who signs your orders has already decided on the Blackberry.

Cheers Dave. Sort of renewing what i think of Nokias then. Never ever found the old ones easy to use, it was clear to see why Samsung et al absolutely creamed them once some real competition arrived.

I had hoped they might have improved a bit.

Got the w880i at the moment so is the upgrade worth it?

eggy - i knew there were higher number versions of the Nokia out there, are they any good though or is it likely to be out of date already? That's another thing putting me off the N95.

This LG thing seems to have good reviews but i see them as a budget brand more than anything. Anyone know what they are like to live with?

Depends on what you want the phone for.

You mention it's through work, so if you are going to do a lot of work-y stuff then I'd recommend the E71.

apologies - my fault for the confusion. This is my phone. I have a work one as well. They did ask for my mobile number but since it messes up your free minutes etc I have always had a work phone and a personal phone that way at the weekend i know i'm not getting any work calls.

I take pics with it. I tend not to use the web stuff because of the expense and i do listen to music on it as i use it as an mp3 player on the bike etc.

Roaming is useful to me because i like to travel but i really want somethign that is easy to live with and intuitive to use. I don't want something that has a really aggravating menu system on it.

Damn i'm picky.

Samsun M8800 Pixon
Forget the N95, its not a bad phone but its outdated now, the N96 runs the same processor and has the same duff battery life, so your choice is between the C902 or the Pixon, i would (have) gone for the Pixon from an N95

I'd rather eat cat sick than ever try and run an N series Nokia phone.

That's the impression i'm getting. Sad they haven't improved in the last 8 years!

Going to see if i can have a play with the Pixson, LG and a few new Sony ones over the weekend i think.
