Default Do any tradesmen use "trust a trader" here?

The father-in-law is a chippy, and is struggling to find work at the moment, I have recommended him to maybe join up with trust a trader as I have used it a couple of times and found some good people from it.

Do you advertise on there, how much does it cost and is it worth it for the amount of leads you get back from it?

Also any advice for getting him set up would be really appreciated.

Never even heard of that! and for others to use it they will of had to at least heard of the site. He would be more suited to trying an add in the local papers as most advertising sim ilar to what you have mentioned is really a waste of cash and he may just break even on the add?

Supprised you haven't heard of it, I thought it was quite well known, quite a few people I know have used it to find traders details. Well you have heard of it now anyway.

The local paper was the other thing I mentioned.

Ive not heard of it either so I just did a search and the closest was a company in MK about 100 miles away from here in Chesterfield. So maybe not that popular nationwide.

Maybe it is not as national as I thought, I have just done a search and I'm getting 50-60 results per trade.

Yell, theres another one I can tell him to look into, agree word of mouth is best, however he recently moved from London, where he had contatcts to Clacton. So needs to start again as such.

Are there any networking websites for local businesses in your neck of the woods? These work really well.

I'm not sure, I have heard these are good, my plasterer swears by the one he is involved with. Just a shame the FIL is so far away.

Cookie, i have put myself onto Trust a trader. I'm CORGI registered, and i'm still waoiting to hear from them. I have asked all of my regular customers, if they have heard of them. 50/50, mostly only on Talk Sport, thats how i applied. But they are very very slow to respond to your request to be on there website.
