And with him passes a little piece of my childhood: Ski Sunday; I still remember some of the names of the great skiers of that period Franz Klammer, Ingemar Stenmark, Konrad Bartelski (well once anyway!), and err, a bit later Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards.

I guess Ski Sunday was just a childhood fad, like fishing, cycling, conkers and Hi-de-Hi. Shamefully, I couldn't name one of today's crop of top skiers.

You could save yourself a lot of time by just posting a link to the news feed you get all these storys from!

Yahoo as a home page maybe?

Is there any actual reason for just posting news stories?

We've all got internet access after all, isn't this just clogging up the forum?

It's understandable if it is an amazing story or has some relevance. Not sure if I'm missing the point or not, but what is the point?

The other day it was Dave Dee, now David Vine. People die every day, we don't need to discuss each one do we?

The point is. D Vine was apart of our childhood. For some of us its just a reminder that we are not kids anymore, even though we still play with toy's.

Apparently he's not breaking any T&C so it's fine. Perhaps he feels he's doing us all a SN broadcasting favour

What can you do though when somehow a person 'needs' to see his silly name (posted multiple times) every day on the first page of NSR

Of course we don't need to discuss every death that happens, what a silly question

What NSR is about is discussing all and sundry - David Vine was part of my childhood, I thought it may have been part of others on here - so, worthy of discussion.

Your contribution is a negative one and adds nothing - a waste of bandwidth IMO .... but I respect your right to make a contribution, however negative - please have the decency to allow me to.

Of course, I thin its "errrrr, remarkable" you are still here, not because of your age as that is still in dispute (I reckon 55 or so), just because of your tenacity !

Can we just not let him have the PSLewis logon back, for old times sake ?

There was plenty of threads when PSLewis was taken from the internet in such a cruel and untimely manner, so no doubt SSU will get some as well.

You don't have to discuss it at all if you don't want to, or even make comments on other peoples' wish to post about it. Some people will have an interest though and are happy to pass some kind of comment. Why should you castigate them for that?

I thought he was particularly good at his job and I am sorry that he died at what is regarded as a young age now.
