Strictly speaking, you need a detector and a GPS based alerter for overall protection (except Vascar) which requires you to use your eyes.

Thumbs up

Bel Euro 550 again - good coverage with not too many false alarms. Another dealer recommendation for you: Comtech

I have had a problem with my unit, which Comtech have replaced - no hassle. Very good customer service and higly recommended.

Expensive at Comtech! www.beldirect.co.uk do it for £359.99- the best price I have seen.

Does anyone feel it has actually saved them points, or has it just been another toy?

Exclamation

Best price is from Networx with the Scoobynet group buy. On mention of the Scoobynet group buy to Networx you will have it delivered for 320GBP including VAT. Phone 01555666444.

I'm not affiliated with Networx, just a happy customer.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

how far? hmm, it depends upon all sorts, traffic-volume is a real big factor. I think that the biggest distance I have detected one from must have been about 500m but that was good weather, very very light traffic etc.

With mobile stuff it works surprisingly well, the Essex police like hiding in ditches, 'round bends etc, I can usually grab them about 300-500m away I would guess.
