Default Stars in Your Airports

Who's up for listing the celebs we've seen passing through airports on our travels?

I've had the good fortune to see these C-listers:

Carlos Valderama (and rest of Columbian football team) waiting in terminal at Chicago O'Hare in early 1990's. Big hair, Carlos!

Brian May (of Queen) walking from terminal to short-stay car park at Heathrow about 4 years ago. More big hair, Brian!

Pat Jennings (ex Arsenal 1970's goalie) going through Security at Stansted about 5 years ago, Big hands, Pat!

Jill Douglas (BBC Sport presenter) at baggage reclaim, Luton last summer. Big belly, Jill! (I think she was pregnant!)

So there we are then: I bet none of you can hope to match that list of superstars!

on a plane to the dominican republic just over 2 years ago, I was on the same plane as jack osborne from hollyoaks. I walked past him as I made my way to first class. He was in normal, although he is a short **** anyway so probably still had more leg room than me

I've met Ant McPartlin (Ant & Dec) & Johnny Wilkinson, twice, in Newcastle Airport.

Ant was a nice bloke, took the time to talk to me. The previous day I'd been lucky enough to meet Fred Dibnah in Falkirk while he was filming his last tv series before he passed away. He was staying in the same hotel & his traction engine was parked in the car park. We had a few drinks with hi in the bar, top bloke, could swear like a trooper!

Saw that reporter bloke off "Airport" at Heathrow on the way back from New York in February. Not really a celeb, is he?

I used to work on the bar in T1 at Manchester (1990 ish), was on one day and chatted to an American guy for a while and I asked him what he did for a living, he said he was a Musician, I didnt quiz him further as I had customers, didnt think any more of it until a few months later, well in the middle of my "Doors" phase I watched a documentary that had various people talking about the 60's "West Coast Scene", one of which I recognised but couldnt place him, then I realised that it was the Airport Musician bloke, so clueless here had been chatting with Lou Reed.

Steve McManaman at the luggage carousel in Antigua

Johnny Vaughan in Virgin Upper Class on a flight from New York

Meryl Streep at the luggage carousel in New York

Karen Brady and Paul Peschisolido at Heathrow check-in

Stirling Moss on a chartered flight when I was reporting on the Mille Miglia

A very drunk Tiff Needell slumped against a urinal at the Seat christmas party, held at the Riverside Studios. (Not an airport, but still stained in my memory)

Natalie Imbruglia, Morrisey, and Keanu Reeves on flights to LA.

I met Ant & Dec in a lounge at Singapore airport many years ago.

And had a couple of beers with ZZ Top in Milton Keynes (OK, so not an airport but it's my biggest claim to fame).

Ummm.... the WHOLE of Man U (including Beckham) at Manchester Airport when sat waiting for my Mum at 4am (the flight was seriously delayed). The arrivals area was almost completely deserted and I was sat right by the exit and the whole lot came trooping past.

What the hell they were doing going through the main terminal I'll never know. I think they'd flown back in after winning (or possibly losing) a cup in Europe or something (no footy fan me!)

Miserable bunch of sods.. mind you at 4 in the morning I wasn't the life and soul myself.

Sorry for unearthing this old thread, but stone me if I haven't just seen Pat Jennings at the airport AGAIN! What are the chances of that??? Why couldn't I have bumped into Angelina Jolie this time instead?
