yes i would not be surprised, the pier is like one big explosion lasting several minutes. its pretty much daylight when they do it

How do they score it? Who takes part: teams or individuals? Do they have to make their own pyrotechnics? If so I imagine any teams from Iraq and Afghanistan would take some beating.

There is a multifloor carpark opposite the Central pier (one where the fireworks are lit from) and if you go all the way up its an open top floor, the view, is quite simply the best in Blackpool
Its above BHS car park.
