How Old were you when you got your Scooby?
I had mine ..... 10 years ago when I was 28. Japanese imported (from new) WRX STI Type R.
The insurance was around £800. Last year for my Supra it was £400! And for the Focus ST3 £340.
Old, I'm old I tell you!

this was back in the good old days of impreza waiting lists, only enthusiasts driving them and not many had been smashed up so premiums were pretty reasonable (Grp 16 IIRC)

now i'm an old ****** and my premium is only about £300 cheaper
27/28 when I got the sport, think insurance was 700ish fully comp. Now I have just paid 460 fully comp protected with all mods declaired.
Trying to decide on the next car, and its got a 2 in 7 chance of being a scoob (Legacy derv or Forrester derv).

I was 24 when I bought my first scoob! I got quotes for a WRX and that was £1500!
Seeing as it was a second car, (I used to have a diesel to commute to work and I had just bought my second house by myself no way could I afford that)! I ended up with a sport that had been done to look like a turbo and my brother "owned" it!

Now I am older and more experienced (
) I got the WRX and now I pay somewhere around the £500 mark, fully comp and all mods declared! Thanks to Moley!

First scooby 12 months ago, aged 37
Paid just over £250 I think last year, see if you can beat this my renewal is £286 with all mods declared. The joys of a very cheap postcode.

I was around 30 when I got my first scoob. Couldnt afford the insurance on a turbo so bought a sport. Around £1000 for the insurance I think.
Now much older am onto my second scoob, cost around the £500 for the turbo version so it proves that age does have some benefits

At 23 i had a DD and 9 points on my licence! ( and a previous 3 had come off luckily).
