Got my first Scooby 10 years ago when I was 35. Insurance then was £770.

This year, on my 4th Scooby (SL Prodrive) insurance cost me £700! (A-Plan).

I had mine ..... 10 years ago when I was 28. Japanese imported (from new) WRX STI Type R.

The insurance was around £800. Last year for my Supra it was £400! And for the Focus ST3 £340.

Old, I'm old I tell you!

Scooby_69er - Think I was around 24/25 when owning my 1st Subaru. IIRC insurance was around £1k.

Making that one bend in half, up'd the second one's premium some what.

i was 21 when i got my series mcrae, 2 years NCB can't remember the exact price but it wasn't 4 figures.

this was back in the good old days of impreza waiting lists, only enthusiasts driving them and not many had been smashed up so premiums were pretty reasonable (Grp 16 IIRC)

now i'm an old ****** and my premium is only about £300 cheaper

27/28 when I got the sport, think insurance was 700ish fully comp. Now I have just paid 460 fully comp protected with all mods declaired.

Trying to decide on the next car, and its got a 2 in 7 chance of being a scoob (Legacy derv or Forrester derv).

I was 24 when I bought my first scoob! I got quotes for a WRX and that was £1500! Seeing as it was a second car, (I used to have a diesel to commute to work and I had just bought my second house by myself no way could I afford that)! I ended up with a sport that had been done to look like a turbo and my brother "owned" it!

Now I am older and more experienced ( ) I got the WRX and now I pay somewhere around the £500 mark, fully comp and all mods declared! Thanks to Moley!

I was around 30 when I got my first scoob. Couldnt afford the insurance on a turbo so bought a sport. Around £1000 for the insurance I think.

Now much older am onto my second scoob, cost around the £500 for the turbo version so it proves that age does have some benefits

I was 26 when i bought my impreza!

Insurance was 1800 tpft!

But i was a bit mental driving wise in my younger days so couldnt get insured on anything nice for years!

I drove an xr2i and then a si zetec.

At 20 i has 6 points on my licence

At 23 i had a DD and 9 points on my licence! ( and a previous 3 had come off luckily).

Those were my last points, i have since calmed down a bit, and my insurance is 650 fully comp from keith michaels, cheers moleywrx!

21 in November 2005. Although I couldn't drive it until I passed my test in March 2006 White 2.0 Sport was £1510 tp f&t.

Was 21 when I bought my WRX in May 2006. That was £2500 fully comp with 2 months driving experience. 22 in December 2006 when I bought my UK turbo. That was £1750 fully comp with 9 months experience.

Mad, mad I tells ya!
