Just seen this on youtube about a supposed rocket fuel depot in the US that caught fire and went bang. Watch the video and you can see the shockwave from the second explosion !!

Nowhere near the casualties of Halifax, but possibly a bigger bang.

 

Saw one of those "Worlds Biggest Explosion!" type programs on Bravo/Reality TV or some such channel and the final one was Pepcon, absolutely gobsmaking explosion. When you see the shockwave travelling across the desert, and shaking the camera

 

iv sailed clean over top - no worries

 

Bet the Port of London Authority had a moan at you for that!

 

I was a lot of miles away from the Flixborough explosion and it rattled the windows !!
