My sister has just gone into labour in Aberdeen and my mum is near Southend and needs to get up there quick. Any clever ideas for the fastest way to get there ? Currently looking at air options, but havent started on buses/trains/helicopters, etc yet !

Stansted should do as well - more choice.

London City airport go to Glasgow and Edinburgh if that's any use.

You could drive it in about 10 hours, good time to do it too (at night).
