Default Does this sound dodgy to you?

I've seen a car for sale on Autotrader which is EXACTLY what I've been looking for at a very cheap price, I emailed the seller a few qestions this was his reply:

Hello there,
I appreciate that you contacted me. First let me say that the car is in perfect conditions, no flaws or dents, no scratches or any kind of damage, no engine problems, no hidden defects, the car has not sustained any damage whatsoever. The interior is in like new condition and has never been smoked in. There is no outstanding finance on the car. The car is still UK registered, the problem is that at this moment I am located in Germany for the next 3 months because I've just started a new business here with an old friend of mine. Also I must let you know that the car is here with me but I can arrange to be shipped at your door. The car comes with original invoice, owners manual and all the documents to prove its ownership. You won't have to pay any import taxes because it's a UK car, not an import. You will get from me the keys and all documents to transfer the car onto your name. The price I hope to obtain for the car is 7950 GBP with shipping costs included! I am a private seller and I had the privilege to buy this car at a low cost from a bankrupt trader. The genuine reason for sale is a divorce and this is forcing me to sell it fast and under the market value. I am not able to handle the sale in person and for safety reasons I've decided to use a company for online transactions, a third party transaction mediator. The transaction will be done through Moneybookers and you will have 14 days to inspect and test the car before any money is realeased to me.
Please let me know if you are interested to buy this car and I will give you more details.
I'll wait your reply,

Do you think this sounds dodgy - too good to be true?
Any experience of the money transfer thing he mentions?
Do Autotrader have any liability if there was a problem?

Thanks
Ash.

Why do they mention "I am a private seller and I had the privilege to buy this car at a low cost from a bankrupt trader" and then say "The genuine reason for sale is a divorce and this is forcing me to sell it fast and under the market value"

What does it matter that they bought it from a bankrupt trader at a low cost if the actual reason for the cheap sale is a divorce?
I know its a scam but why mention the part about buying it from a bankrupt trader? Whats that got to do with anything?

It's designed to explain away the cheap price and to lead you in .... I agree it would be better to keep the reply to 1 sentence (for the scammers).

A group wind-up to waste the scammer's time could be in order.

If you're in Germany you don't actually have the "£" sign on your keyboard.

The buyer's payment agent seems legit and does have an escrow service
https://www.moneybookers.com/app/help.pl?s=escrow

Call him up and if he speaks with a sub-saharan accent, then hang up and forget the deal!

P.S. I've previously bought goods using escrow without problems - they don't get the money until you say so

Update:
Mailed him for more for info, reply below
Please find below the details of the ca rincluding the photos. I will explain you the entire procedure of the transaction. The car will be sent to Samskip and they will handle the shipping for me. The delivery of the car takes max.5 days depending on your location. The sale will be thru Moneybookers, meaning that they will hold and insure your money until receipt of the car in good condition. I want a 100% legitime transaction because I don't want to lose the car and also you don't want to lose your money. You have to deposit the funds to Moneybookers and once the payment is confirmed I will immediately ship you the car. Also keep in mind that you will have 14 days to inspect it and to decide if you want to keep it or not. The 14 days inspection period starts from the first day when you'll receive the car. If by any reason the car is not as described or if you find any problems with it, you will get your money back from Moneybookers and I will pay for the returning fees. I'm sure it won't be the case because it's a state of art looking and working vehicle. You will receive the V5 document with section 8 signed by me and this way you will be able to transfer the car onto your name. Also you will receive 2 keys(remotes) and the master key. After the 14 days period you have to contact Moneybbokers with the inspection results and if you are satisfied with the car then the funds will be released to me and the transaction is closed. As soon as I have the confirmation from Moneybookers that you have sent the payment to them I can make arrangements for the car to be shipped directly to your address. I apologize if it seems like I'm pushing on this deal but I really want to be sure everything is clarified before any further steps.
So if you want to proceed please provide me your full name and the shipping address so I can start the transaction.
Regards

Absolutely dodge - saw exactly the same advert via auto trader re a very cheap (about 1K under market value) Seat Leon I was trying to buy on behalf of a mate) - was very sceptical - sent a couple of emails, got one dodgy reply - then all went silent - if it's too good to be true....

Never give people your cash in advance - steer well clear!
