Probably tell you it's stress.
Not suprising having to drive a bus around London.

All the best anyway.

p.s It wasn't you that hit that skip, was it?

Stress Related Disorder - been there, seen it done it and had the breakdown

It's not good and time off is always a good thing. It's very good to see you have an understanding and supportive boss - my 'incident' was caused by an unsupportive one.

Everything you've described is just how I felt and you need time to sort yourself out. My doctor immediately signed me off for two weeks and I ended up away from work (on full pay) for over 3 months

One thing to understand here is that Mental illness is not anything to be ashamed of. Your body can suffer illness so why not your mind (brain?)

It happens, but you NEED to identify the cause of the stress and remove it otherwise you're just wasting time. Take the time you'll get to evaluate your life and look for causes of stress.

Oh, and take the time to sort out your diet and get some exercise! A punch bag works wonders!

Now a slight accident with a London bus would soon sort that one

Best of luck OP. dl

Although it undoubtedly helps, sometimes even heaps of exercise can't release enough of the feel good chemicals to correct the damage (or prolonged build up of stress) that could have come from months or years of incorrect (mis-alligned) thinking.......

Still good advice for most though

Positive Mental Attitude really helps

and punching the living sh*t out of something inanimate

Just picture the MOST annoying toss-pot of the day and punch the crap out of him / her / it

Then the next and the next and the next......

Diet and exercise !
I got into cycling (MTB) and changed my eating habits, but then got depressed with work ! LOL

Once out of my job I was fine, but exercise will do the job !

HTH

DunxC

P.S. Good luck !

Excellent advice. Take it, and see your doc regularly. I chose cycling instead of a punch bag, but excercise, diet and some congnative theapy (ie talking to a professional) will help you keep thinking straight. They will probably also set you modest goals and this will give you a sense of achivement and self-worth that you wouldn't believe. Not a five minute job, though. Admitting you have a problem is the biggest step and you WILL move forward. Best of luck

Richard.

PS Just a thought that worked well for me. I have a big stereo in my Scoob and just cruising around local outbackroads really chilled me out. I don't live in London, but I'm sure the principle is the same.
