Default George Foreman esq Grills

Why does everyone seem to harp on about how great these things are? Everything i have cooked in one has always tasted like rubber!!!

I think they should be bannned as i want my cooked meat to be swimming in juices and if you don't, your probably a POOF!

I think you should go and tell George Foreman that personally.

And call his momma a dirty ho while you're at it.

thank cr@p im not the only who thinks it sucks, as davegtt says you loose all the juices and most of the flavour, mine now permanently resides in the back of the cupboard, best place for it

I used to have one (still got it in a cupboard) but I never use it now. Not used it for a few years.

OK for Sausages etc, but steaks? Forget it

We had this discussion with my sis-in -law last week after we saw some in a shop...

We've used ours a half dozen times at most... now it's collecting dust somewhere... and if ol George didn't deserve a good branding on his own grill for bringing that piece of meat-ruining eletcrical equipment out, he is now selling these too!! fools whoever buys one!!

Indoor/Outdoor BBQ

Think yourself lucky, my wifes sister bought us the rotisserie oven!!

Never came out the box and even the bloke at the tip who snags all the good stuff wasn't interested when we tossed it a couple of years later

I don't think George Foreman as anything to do with them any more, they were so successful, he was taking too much of the margin so the company gave him a one off for the rights. Jammy git!

agreed there rubbish for meat as all the flavour is drained away. all ours gets used for is toasties which is about the only think which tastes good once its been cooked on them.

I say eat food as it's meant to be eaten - swimming in the glorious fats, juices, blood and carbonised bits that come from proper cooking. Every plump steak and pert sausage might knock twenty minutes off of your life, but it's only twenty minutes of off your life spent in a nursing home, waiting interminably for your **** to get wiped or inhaling the heady stench of cabbage, ****, mint imperials and wintergreen oil. I swear that if all the percentages of increased early death claimed by these half-arsed scientific studies were added together, we'd all be long dead before our grandad's great-grandad looked at his wife in a naughty way.

Break out the pies, bosun - I'm feeling the need to self-harm.

Swimming against the tide apparently, but I like pork loins and sausages cooked on mine, I don't use it a huge amount but it does a good job as long as you don't leave stuff on too long.

George Foreman never had anything to do with the product other than being paid to be the "face" of the company, fairly sure he wasn't even their first choice.

Talking about juicy meat, we have this burger place called Freshness Burger over here in Japan. I had the biggest hamburger they had on the menu, called then WW (i think they wanted to call it the double double)

When I held the burger, juices and grease just poured out, BUT DAMN it tasted like heaven!!!!!!

Also it was "glasses day" on thursday, and my gf just happened to be wearing her glasses as a change from contacts, and we got 2% off our meal lol
