Horse/Rider 3rd party liabaility insurance
Wife is looking at helping look after a horse, but the owner doesn't have cover for other riders.
So..being sensible and all that, she's looking at organising her own 3rd party liability cover.
Anyone got any recommendations?
Cheers in advance

Try New Rider Home its a horse forum that my wife uses, she is quite clued up as she has had horses since she was 8! She says E&L are crap at paying out and you should put a google search in about them if you don't believe.
She uses a insurance broker as it is cheaper that way? she has done quite a lot of research about it. The broker name is Kerry Andrews and can be found here: HOMEPAGE

I’ve got the BHS Gold Membership which covers you for 3rd party liability and personal accident… she can check on the BHS website… quite good cos you get regular updates on the BHS and what they are up to, tips and advise as well as the added extra of the insurance under this level of membership. Membership including insurance works out about £60 per year single cover.
I had the BHS membership before I took out the share arrangement anyway, but would probably keep it to be on the safe side/cover my back anyway.
I did ask about written agreements with a share arrangement when I started, but depends who you get and how much you trust them… it’s always safer to put expectations down in writing from the outset to be safe, particularly if loan rather than share arrangements.
Let me know if she needs any more advice, she could check out some of the horsy mag websites – Horse and Hound or Your Horse as they have forums she could put questions up on if she wanted more advise.
