Non-Transferable Number Plates
I've just taken the private plate off my car before selling it (the car).
I notice that the V5C now has a special note to say that it now has a "non-transeferable registraton mark".
Does this mean that the new owner can't put a private plate on it or does it mean that the current plate cannot be transferred to another car?? When he bought it, he told me he was going to put his own private plate on.

It means he can't sell or transfer the new registration number.
If the buyer wishes to transfer his private plate to the vehicle, the one issued by the DVLA will merely be discontinued by them.
