Default Clearing out old clothes..

OK who is actually good at doing this?
Due to the change in size, and new clothing I decided to have a clear out... 3 bin bags full of clothes that its time to go for.
Plus 2 other bags in the other room. Most of which im "unlikely" to wear.

Everything from socks to boxers, jeans to jumpers... I didnt realise I had so much!

Anyone else just hoard?

Not be negative or anything, but you might want to keep some of the clothes in case you fit back into them in a few years time

Give them all to the charity shop, if you keep them and your weight starts creeping back up you'll just start wearing the old stuff because it fits. If you have no other clothes to wear and the weight starts creeping back up you'll have to lose it in order to fit into your current clothes

Been there, have the t-shirt Actually I don't have the t-shirt, I gave it to the charity shop

lol I dont wanna be wearing the same clothes in a few years time, certainly not those one.
No plans on gaining anywhere near that much weight again. I am still trimming down and heading towards a 32 waist now. As my 34's are getting loose.
If I do put any weight on, it will be a good incentive to lose it again and fast But I get ya point

lol thats the one
My sentiments exactly.
I have kept a few choice bits for relaxing in etc, nice to know what "baggy" really means, rather than "oooh XXL baggy fit, that should fit, JUST"

ha ha, did this myself yesterday, got 2 bags full one for the tip and the other for the local charity shop.

I also anally re arranged the layout in my wardbrobe as well, my mrs was surprised how many clothes I actually have as I tend to just wear shorts and crappy t shirts around the house.

My Mrs wants to do the same, however the greedy cow has 3 wardrobes full

ours go to charity shopes, we usually pass on the kids stuff to foreign/abroard charities if there has been a disaster in some foreign climes.

never bag them and leave them for the pseudo charities who sell them on and i now notice a new scheme/scam, they sell the clothes and give part of the money to a charity, that way they can use the charity reg number.

See, if you were a woman, I'm sure you'd keep them in the loft "just in case" you ever need them again. I've got some lovely size 10 tapered suit trousers up there somewhere... Like even if I was a size 10 again, would I wear then again? Probably not... So I really would just get shot.

What size waist are the trousers you've got?

lol thats what I was doing yesterday, re-arranging the wardrobes. I have 2 doubles and a single wardrobe
Plus loads of drawers

The trousers range from a 42 to a 32 now.
Everything over a 36 has gone Will keep the 36's just for now, only a few pairs. A few large tops kept too, rest are medium. Coming from an XXL

lol aaah I thought you were doubting me for a moment.
Dont get me wrong, im no food angel, I still sin. But tend to give into genuine cravings, rather than eating because im bored or its there.
Still actually liking the healthier option too most of the time

Just for you, my clothing size has gone from approx an 18-20 to a 10.
Thats based on hips, so a little different if done from waist.
So a bit more than 1 size
Well done you though, aiming for an 8 ?

Well done Snazy, hope you feel very proud of yourselve.

Not actually been on a diet but I was ill with that winter bug so lost some weight there and now I have this toothache so haven't been eating properly so I've lost more weight so a size 10 now. Been stressed at work which hasn't helped either.

Really don't want to lose anymore as I think women look too thin if they are an 8/10. I like being a 12 plus most men like something to get hold of.

Cheers I am indeed proud. So proud in fact I just celebrated with a chicken omlette lol.
Not too sure about being proud about comparing my size to womens sizes though lol

Aaah the old illness weight loss eh, I know that one well from a few years back. Main thing is getting back to good health

10-12 is all good for me, love hips and a bum (on women that is)

I have just discovered freecycle.

Got rid of more tat in two weeks than I ever would if I had to hump it to the tip.

Some bloke came and picked a bed up that looked like a prop from the film 'hostel' , he was chuffed to bits!

Chip, what's the 'poliotical wing'?

Oh and I dumped 5 bags 2 months ago in the clothes bank at Morrisons. Could have sworn I saw a bloke last week in one of my old jackets too, though it looked like a coat on him.

Nice one for donating to charity just another thought, if you have any clothes which perhaps aren't in a decent condition to pass on ( and I don't mean skid marked pants!!), your local supermarket or recycling centre will have clothes banks and they will get recycled

LOL

i got rid of my old "thin" clothes 2 months back, which was a bit of a bad move because i now fit in them

i chop mine up and use them as cloths/rags at work

i have 2/3rds of a single wardrobe and a few drawers for my clothes,
she has 2 full wardrobes, 3 drawers, underbed storage drawers, boxes of **** ontop of the wardrobes and boxes of **** "down the side" of the wardrobes and that was after she had a clear out
