Default Chatsworth House.....

Anybody been recently? trying to organise something but I'd like to know if there is any charge to go into the grounds or is it a charge to go in the house?

On the website it just says 'prices will be released shortly'

Thanks

Claire

Think the grounds are free to get in from my last visit although getting into the building is a different matter.

Sorry I cant be 100% sure though as it was about 5 years ago since my last visit.

the grounds are free to get in, at least they were at chirstmas. Not sure were else would be suitable for a meet round the area, although there are plenty of nice villages around whether a meet would go down well though is a different matter

You generally have to pay to get into the gardens and house but the grounds surrounding the house and gardens are free.

Claire, They`ve got a big car park and plenty of fields so I`d guess so

Are you going to contact them for approval of a meet or just turn up?

Claire, we were last there at Christmas. There was a charge for the car park then a separate charge for the house. You can drive into the grounds for free, but no parking is allowed.

LOL we went instead of the search for Santa day I would imagine if you wanted to organise a meet, if you contacted them, then they would make some arrangements for you. I remember having to pay to park cos we got the biggest thumbs up for the scoob

There's a large TVR meet (270+) held annually there - organised on PistonHeads - so guess they're up for that kinda thing...

Last time I was there, it was free to walk around the grounds, but I can't imagine you would be let into the house for nothing!
