I'm an avid Radio 2 listener... And proud 
Anyway.. They were talking to Ceres's Power lastnight (on the Chris Evans show) who are currently partnering with British Gas to supply Natural Gas fuel cell powered micro generators to the general public.
These fuel cells will be housed in what look like normal boilers and will take natural gas and air and inturn output heat, water and electricity. The heat can be used in a conventional fashion to heat your home and the electricity can be used to power your home or sold back to the grid. Then you are left with a fresh water by-product.

No idea yet.. But it sounds mighty impressive so far! The first real-world 'green' solution I have heard in a long time!
