Been offered a sony plasma quite cheap (well sort of).

The lad told me it needs a receiver. I can't get hold of him till tonight when I need to tell him yay or nay.

So, will I need a receiver box to use my sky box? Or is the box just for aerial tv?

No, if you have Sky you'll be fine. That will connect directly to the telly and give you a picture
