Default Nokia 6500

Anyone got one of these yet? Looking for an upgrade and like the look of the 6300 mainly due to sleek size but still a decent screen. However Ive seen the Nokia 6500 Classic in black on various websites and it has 3G and a better camera. No doubt it wont be on Vodafone for some time - tbh I cant even find it on the Nokia UK website.

The classic has a 2mp camera. the black slide has a 3.1
Not released yet either.

Have a proper look at both side by side.

Compare phones - GSMArena.com

I find the 6300 a great little phone, but having the N95 too, have to say they are in different classes.

Yeah I noticed that after reading a bit more. One particular review site had the same review for both slider and classic.

I like the 6300 but the 6500 seems to have a few more features.

No doubt the N95 is packed full of goodies but tbh I dont use anything other than phone, text, web and the add pic. So Id rather not carry a brick around in my pocket (exageration maybe but compared to 6300/6500 its large in anyones book).

Its basically either 6300 now or wait for 6500 whenever it will be released as no one seems to know

Seeing as its not released in any market yet, it could be some time mate.
If you dont use a phone for anything much, get the 6300. The camera is better than you would give it credit for. And its a simple phone

Here you go, a few examples of what the 6300 can do, and still be a sleek slim little phone too.

Vodafone reckon Oct 1st and they have been pretty accurate for me in the past. I cant upgrade til Oct 3rd anyway just looking around.

Will wait and see what the price difference is and if it gets released on time.

I have a 2mp camera on current nokia 6280 and thats fine for a phone tbh. 5mp on a N95 is just to say my pecker is bigger than yours

Weird thing is you cant even find the 6500 on the nokia websites other than a dedicate one NOKIA.

lol na to be fair mate, the camera on the N95 is SO much better than the 2mp on the 6280 and 6300. It is a "my dads bigger than your dad" in a way I guess but the quality is just so damn good.

Strange it not being on the Nokia site mate. Maybe release is not that close.
