My son has just got home from france on a school trip, This **** could have happend on the Euro tunnel.............. Makes me sick

Your point being? was he not illegally in this country? did he not run from the police? did he not look suspicious? If he had have been a bomber 100's could have died, as it was he wasn't.............. I haven't got a problem with that.

My point being advocating such policies as shoot first ask questions later is going to result in innocent people being killed. He didn't run from the police nor was he acting suspiciously, the investigation revealed incompetence from the police on a staggering level. Unless we have our forces better trained and better equipped there cannot be a mandate for shoot first.

I've been around the block pal (not in that sense either
), and I too want to see these heinous b@stards locked up and the key thrown away. Yes shoot terrorists on sight but not innocent people who look a little shady (both in skin tone and their actions). We won't defeat the terrorists by scaremongering and turning the country into a Police State.

Apparently one guy was on fire engulfed by flames, so the police extinguished them, sorry, I say chuck him a gallon of petrol and help him along. This country is so soft we want to eradicate terrorisom so lets start. That would have been 1 less.

HHHmmmmmmmmmm touchy subject. I think shoot first ask later is abit ott thats the americans policy and there renowned for mistakinly shooting inoccents and friendlys. Defo stricter policies need to be put in place.As for the police training i dont think anyone is qualifiedto judge those polices actions until they have been in that situation too.

Firstly, the JCM shooting investigation revealed that he was not running away or actually suspiciously. All of that was just smoke and mirrors to try and cover up the police's incompetence.
Secondly, the much wider and incredibly important point is that there is a price for freedom. We often forget this, as we have previously enjoyed relative calm during our lifetimes. You have to make a choice of having a police state run country (eg old style Russia, and to some extent current day Russia) or you choose to have a free nation.
The very moment you go around shooting people without asking questions the terrorists have won. Its our lifestyle and freedom they want to take away from us. Don't give them their victory.

As I remember it he wasn't an illegal imigrant (not that it should even be a issue in this instance), he had some sort of work permitt which had expired.
And on a separate issue, why is someone given an infraction for calling an imbecile an imbecile?
