u can download Avi's or Mpeg's from say Morpheous,burn them to a cd and watch on a dvd player i.e what software could be used?

 

Yes.. You can use Nero CD to do this, or get some VCD Software (Loads available free) and use Easy CD to burn it. Just learn't how to do this myself and have been watching all my Films on My DVD . You can only get 74/80 minutes of video on though, irrelivant of what quality it is so some films require two CD's

Can yours play VCD's though.. My brothers says it can't play CDR/CDRW and MP3, but plays the VCD I created
