Emily evicted but.....
The bloke in BB was being chased around the other night and the women where trying to get his keks off, whilst he was shouting "No, get off leave me alone", they were only joking of course, yeh right.
BUT can you image the outcry if it had been a women and 11 blokes trying to get her kit off

Agree completely - if it was me I'd go into the Diary room and request the tapes to be used as evidence to bring all the other house mates under a sexual assult charge and I'd also ask if I could have contact with my lawyers so that I can sue the production company for not sending security in to assist me. I'm sick of the double standards in this country.
Girl smacks lad everyone laughs and calls him a *****. Guy then hooks the bitch back and he's given a total hammering by any other bloke that saw it and then charged by the police and brandished as a wife beater

Channel 4 are now being blasted for showing the full footage of the "N***er" controversy.
The same way that they were blasted for NOT showing all the coverage of the Goody / Shetty incident.
Don't you just love this backward country

But, the issue is of the double standard being exercised by Ch 4. They should be getting some quality ratings.

Theres no double standard.
Emily said "you ******"
Charlie said "i am a ******"
Think about it - you run a company and one of your black employees said what Charlie said....an issue maybe, but nothing like the issue of a white empolyee saying to a black one what Emily said - in full view of every other member of the workforce.

So if Ch4 contract suggests (I hear it is something like the follwing) "under no circumstances/context can you say the word , ******", why don't they throw out the other girls who repeated the word? Still saying it arn't they? It's clear that Emily didn't mean it racially. Although it didn't help that the asian girl said it was racist and continued on about it whilst muttering "lets not go on about it". The thick cow obviously needs to look it up in the dictionary. It's used all the time in rap songs now which people Emily's age (and the rest of us if we chose) are exposed to and thus has filtered into street language.
So it's ok for ethnics to say it to each other and anybody as it means something different coming out of a black mouth! I thought they wanted to be treated equally? Some more equal than the rest I guess.
Any person can be known as a ******, whatever their respective origin. It's just that Emily directed it at a black girl who happends to be a stereotypical "******". Poor Emily, slip-of-the-tongue I think!
Emily will obviously be branded a racist (Ch4 covering themselves) now which stinks because if she was, surely she wouldn't hang around ethnics in the Big Brother house?
Nick
PS I think CH4 should cast a vote to ascertain if Emily has been wrongly evicted!

The newly appointed black sheriff (Cleveland Little) approaches an old lady on the street
"Good morning Ma'am, and what a lurvley morning it is"
"Up yours N***er"
The look on poor Cleveland Little's face was priceless!
Wonderful film, perfectly illustrated how racism and not being able to have a joke at each other's expense detracts from all of our lives.
Of course, it wouldn't be allowed today (see the second aspect of my point above)

They evectied her for saying it TO charlie and thus, in their opinion, breaking the show rule about causing potential offense to viewers/housemates.
If she slapped herself she wouldnt be evicted....if she slapped Ziggy - she would be (even if ziggy said...its ok, i dont mind!)
i dont care for PC but anyone that cant see the difference between a white girl calling a black girl a ****** and a black girl calling herself one in the context of what had just been said to her is as daft as the pc brigade themselves.

It made my blood boil to know that if I had said those words to her, she would have reported me for being a racist.
I did say to her once that I found it offensive, and she said 'go away honky' to me. I couldn't do anything as there were no witnesses, and who would believe a white person complaining about racism.

It's all about context and reaction! Have you seen the film?

And charlie kept saying to forget it and keep quiet then bringing it up again and again?
later in the bedroom she told everyone else - was this a good excuse for her to stir it up to get some1 else evicted so keeping herself in for longer (not prompting the remark but repeating it)
emily didn't mean it in a racist way she's just a simple little bimbo as you could tell when she was in the diary room trying to use long words when defending herself and not being able to finish the word off
this whole debate is great for bb as it's attracting a lot more viewers and also for charlie - as she said "i'll be all over page 2 of the papers" in racist row - it's publicity she (and all the others) want

Is it ok? no......but who cares about the "why cant whites say it" issue......what white person wants to be able to say it????
so lets say blacks are allowed this little "privilege"....is it that big a deal? The only ones who wish to use it are the low expectation having ****** anyway.
I wouldnt trade being white for the ability to say "******" to someone else.
I fail to see why so many people care about that issue...the same folks who say the MOBOs are racist
As a white person you cant call a black person "******".....but you avoid just about any form of prejudiced behavior in general and can work in any field you like without being held back (apart from being a rapper!)
As a black person you can say ****** (although you look like a **** doing it) but then have to deal with the issues of being black at a time when there is still huge barriers in the way of going where you want in life.
Moaning that white people cant say ****** is like saying that blind people get free dogs and it aint fair. I am pretty sure most black people would happily give up the word forever for a chance of some real equality.

ohh...and i'm not some tree hugging PC nut.....i dont even KNOW a black person! and cant remember the last black person i spoke to that wasnt working on a till. But i do know that when i'm in some posh London hotel on a business conference surrounded by other people all making stupid amounts of cash.....there are no black faces, and i am glad i'm white for how easy it makes life in the UK.

I dont care wether anyone says the word or not to be honest, im just saying i cant see how the get so offened when rap music is peddled onto teenagers to make them money, but they go into a uproar when one of the people who listens to that music, say the word.

I've got a DVD of Jim Davidson doing stand up, and you're right he is as funny as a bullet in the head, but when you picture the head in question being Gordon Brown's, that's funny
