Default Anybody know what this plastic connecter is?

The above item is used to connect the handle-rail to the base of my Flymo mower. It comes off all the time and I'm wondering if there's something missing from it.
Can anybody help?

Thanks

Nick

No, that's how it works. After a while the plastic becomes brittle and the little splines don't expand so much so it keeps coming out.

I names bine several times, but wouldn't repeat here.
I ended up putting a bolt through. Make it tight though as they do vibrate lolose, and it's quite fiddle to get in. Another great bit of design!

hehe, i just fixed those for my g/fs nan. i superglued some matchstick in them to stop them coming out. they don't need to be load bearing, just prevent them from working loose.
