The General Lee
Apparently the original Dukes of Hazard car was up for sale on eBay in the States. The 1969 Dodge Charger was owned by the guy who played Bo..
the end bid was $9.9m (£5million)....
Sorry but thats is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the top - even if it is the Dukes car... i bet it's just cause Daisy sat in it

Thought they used three per episode ?
Classic stunt was Bo 'n' Luke haring up some fortuitously placed ramp in the General, jumping over the river, only to have the "hood" crumple on landing. Naturally, when they cut back to them driving off 2 seconds later the bonnet was in pristine condition.

Admittedly they're not much good on European roads but in the US they were really rather good.
Did well in US NASCAR races (ovals ) with the 426 Hemi fitted.
Most of the ones you see for sale in the US seem to be the 440 version, a better and more practical all-rounder than the 5 mpg hemi.
Cheaper too since a hemi engine on it's own costs A LOT.

The guy who played `Bo` (John Schneider) does up old `General Lee's` and sells them.
Found this out by watching the Extra's on `The Dukes of Hazard` Box sets.
I have them all on Dvd
